This therapeutic herbal oil massage is a gentle but firm whole body massage from head to toe. Herbal oils are chosen according to your Prakriti (psychosomatic constitution) and the type of illness.

Abhyanga massage is a deeply relaxing, rejuvenating experience. Done regularly, Abhyanga protects one from stress, anxiety, exhaustion and Vata (neuro-muscular) imbalances. It nourishes the body, extends the life span, provides good sleep, improves the skin’s texture, improves vision and provides better physical stability.

Abhyanga warm herbal oil massage therapy is the best way to control Vata in the body. Benefits include improved range of motion and posture, stress and pain relief.

Shirodhara is one of the most wonderful, relaxing ayurvedic therapies. Warm herbal oil is gently drizzled onto the forehead for about 45 – 60 minutes. This delightful sensation melts away all chatter and mental activity, leaving the mind calm, cooled and refreshed. This treatment nourishes the five senses by focusing on the ‘marma points’, many of which are located around the head. These points, when gently massaged, have a hugely calming and balancing effect throughout the body and nervous system. The oils used for this treatment are specifically chosen according to your dominant dosha constitution type.

Shiro Abhyanga

The gentle but firm, relaxing massage movements of Abhyanga (special massage technique) are provided to the entire head, neck and shoulders. This loosens tight muscles and encourages much-needed blood circulation, flooding the head with oxygen-rich blood and helping to remove harmful toxins. It is beneficial for deep relaxation, balancing the nervous system, improving and enhancing sensory perception, improving blood circulation to the brain, strengthening hair roots and improving the hair’s condition, and promoting natural detoxification of the lymph glands around the neck and axilla.

Pada Abhyanga

Massaging the feet is akin to massaging the entire body, according to Ayurveda. It not only helps with detoxification of the body but also helps in balancing the emotions and improving the blood circulation and lymph flow. Ayurvedic foot massage helps in relaxing the lower extremities, treating sleeplessness, and provides physical and emotional relief with the stimulation of Marma points, the Ayurvedic energy points.

Ayurvedic Facial Massage

Ayurvedic Facial is a deeply relaxing, soothing and transformational experience. Organic Ayurvedic Herbals are used on the marma points to detoxify the deep tissues of the skin, enhance a balanced lymphatic flow and restore the life, vigor and function of the skin. It is a deep and effective Ayurvedic Therapy designed to restore optimal function to the lymph and skin, removing stress, while bringing a deep sense of relaxation and calmness to the whole body.

Aromatouch Technique

The Aromatouch Technique incorporates simple hand techniques with the power of essential oils to create a whole body wellness experience. It seeks to address four systemic constants that are present in daily life and which may serve as limiting factors in health: stress, immunity, inflammatory response and autonomic imbalance.

Eight essential oil blends consisting of twenty five herbals are used in a sequence on the back, neck, scalp, feet and hands for massage.

Marma Points Massage

Marma (meaning “hidden” or “secret” in Sanskrit) are vital points in the body where tremendous energy or prana resides. Often, these points are blocked with impurities and toxins that build up through the stress and strains of daily life, unhealthy eating habits and more. The marma points are opened, cleansed and stimulated with using rhythmic, circular movement and herbalized oils blended to your particular constitution and imbalances. A subtle and delicate treatment, marma points massage can provide a deep sense of calm, rejuvenation and awareness.

Prenatal Massage

Massage has been used for thousands of years to relieve stress, relax the muscles, and improve general health - and that remains true during pregnancy. While the essential benefits of massage therapy remain the same, prenatal massage requires different techniques to insure the safety of both the mother and the baby. With a few precautions (after the first trimester, you will need a note from your doctor) Prenatal Massage benefits include, lowered anxiety, decreased back & leg pain, improved sleep, decreased levels of the stress hormone norepinephrine, increased levels of serotonin and dopamine, decreased levels of cortisol (a stress indicator common in depressed pregnant patients), and an overall improvement in mood. The client is provided with  extra pillows or sheets in order  to make her more comfortable during the session.

Postnatal/ Post delivery Massage

Ayurveda recommends complete relaxation with Ayurvedic regimen after child birth to recover from delivery and improve stamina of the mother. Traditional oil massages rejuvenate the mother, relieve tension and depression, remove stretch marks, tighten the skin, and prevent back and joint pains.

Trigger Point Therapy
A trigger point is an area of hyper-irritability within soft tissue structures. It is characterized by local tenderness and sometimes referred.  These referred sensations can include pain, tingling, numbness, burning or itching. Some trigger points are just localized. After locating the trigger point or points, the therapist will use several different finger techniques of varying pressure on and around the points in order to break down the build-up of the knot. Depending on the size of the trigger point, it may take several visits to the therapist in order to be assured that the entire trigger point has been deactivated.
